Kebbi Assembly committee on LGA concludes oversight, Commits to Accountability

The Kebbi State House of Assembly Committee on Local Government and Cheiftaincy affairs led by Hon. Salihu M. Dangoje, has concluded its oversight visit to Birnin Kebbi Local Government Area.
The visit, which took place on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, aimed to inspect ongoing projects and ensure accountability in governance.
The committee inspected various projects, including township roads, renovated mosques, skills acquisition centers, feeder transformers, and health facilities and others, designed to improve citizens’ lives and promote community development in line with government of Dr. Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu’s agenda for the state
Speaking to newsmen after the visit, the LGA Chairman, Alhaji Dahiru Nayaya Ambursa, expressed gratitude to the committee and thanked Governor Nasir Idris for entrusting them with the mandate to serve their people.
The committee chairman, Hon. Dangoje, emphasized that the oversight function demonstrates the committee’s commitment to accountability and transparency in governance.
He stated that the committee’s findings and recommendations would contribute significantly to Kebbi State’s development and positively impact citizens’ lives.
The committee vowed to continue monitoring projects to ensure value for money and alignment with community needs and the state’s development agenda.
