Uzodimma, Madumere, Emele, COS, Others Commensurate with Nze Mgbeahurike Uwaezoke family Over Demise of Matriarch

The Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, has commiserated with the family of Nze Mgbeahurike Uwaezoke on the demise of their beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, Mrs. Elfreda Nnanna Mgbeahurike, aged 90.
Comrade Emmanuel Mgbeahurike, one of the sons of the deceased is a Journalist with LEADERSHIP newspapers. The family has fixed the interment for Friday, April 25th, 2025.
Also, the former deputy governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Chief Mrs Ruby Emele, and the Chief Of Staff to the governor, Barr. Nnamdi Anyaehie paid glowing tributes to Mrs. Elfreda Nnanna Mgbeahurike.
The governor, who described the death as the inevitable end for all mortals, however, added that losing a beloved mother at any time remains painful, challenging, and demanding.
Uzodimma stressed that while it is not easy for the Nze Mgbeahurike Uwaezoke family to bear the irreparable loss of such magnitude, concerning a woman of honor, a loving and caring mother, he prays Almighty God to strengthen the family and grant them the fortitude to bear same.
He said, “On behalf of my family, the government, and the entire good people of Imo State, I send our heartfelt condolences to the Nze Mgbeahurike Uwaezoke family and enjoin all of you to bear this irreparable loss with fortitude.”
Prince Madumere, while consoling the family, described Mrs. Elfreda Nnanna Mgbeahurike as a remarkable mother, home builder, community leader,r,, and, above all, a devout Christian.
He highlighted that the deceased would be greatly missed not only for the numerous lives that she touched but also for her remarkable contributions to the Christian faith.
Prince Madumere called on the Nze Mgbeahurike Uwaezoke family to bear the loss of their matriarch with fortitude, explaining that from her Christian life, she would be resting in the bosom of the Lord.
He charged the Chief mourner, Comrade Emmanuel Mgbeahurike to have absolute trust in God as the author and finisher of our faith.
In her comment, the commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Chief Mrs Ruby Emele described Mrs Elfreda Nnanna Mgbeahurike as a caring and loving mother who would be greatly missed by all.
Hon. Emele urged the bereaved family to be comforted by the numerous legacies and contributions their late mother made to the community, Church, and society at large as a shining example to be emulated by the children and family.
According to the burial program, the body of Mrs. Elfreda Nnanna Mgbeahurike will leave Mbano Joint Hospital with a brief stop at her maiden home, Umuezelaegbe, Anochiwa’s compound.
She is lying in State at her husband’s compound at Umuebise while the funeral service takes place at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, Isiala Mbano, by 10am, and thereafter Interment takes place at her husband’s compound.
