Tinubu signs historic Bills into Law, solidifying commitment to national progress -Lado

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has made history by signing the South-West Development Commission Bill, the South-South Development Commission Bill, and the Nigeria Anti-Doping Bill, 2025, into law, his Senator Basheer Lado, Special Adviser to President Tinubu on Senate Matters, has hailed in a press statement he made available to journalists on Tuesday, even as he described the presidential assent as a “monumental milestone” and a testament to the President’s visionary leadership and commitment to national progress.
According to him, the signing of these bills into law demonstrates President Tinubu’s dedication to inclusive governance, equitable progress, and Nigeria’s emergence as a global powerhouse. The South-West and South-South Development Commissions are expected to drive industrial growth, job creation, and social advancement in the regions, while the Nigeria Anti-Doping Bill 2025 solidifies Nigeria’s commitment to fairness, excellence, and integrity in global sports.
He, therefore, noted that Tinubu’s administration has been marked by significant achievements, including the removal of fuel subsidies, exchange rate unification, and growth in foreign reserves. However, the administration has also faced notable challenges, including a severe cost of living crisis and criticism from opposition parties. Despite these challenges, President Tinubu remains committed to his vision for a transformed Nigeria.
