Lagos 2027: Jandor meets President Tinubu’s daughter after dumping PDP

Dr. Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, a former governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State and now a prominent figure in the All Progressives Congress (APC), recently met with Chief Mrs. Folashade Tinubu-Ojo, the daughter of President Bola Tinubu, in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
The meeting, which took place on Monday in the holy city, was an avenue for both leaders to exchange pleasantries and discuss issues of mutual interest.
Jandor’s spokesperson, Gbenga Ogunleye, confirmed the development in a statement, highlighting the significance of the engagement.
“Dr. Adediran expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and offered prayers for the success of the president’s renewed hope agenda,” Ogunleye stated.
He further emphasized that the meeting underscored their shared commitment to unity and progress.
Jandor, who ran for the Lagos governorship seat in the 2023 elections under the PDP, lost to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the APC.
However, he recently defected to the ruling party, citing internal conflicts, indiscipline, and anti-party activities within the Lagos PDP as reasons for his departure.
His decision to join the APC marks a significant political shift, aligning him with the party he once opposed.
The meeting with Tinubu-Ojo signals Jandor’s increasing integration into the APC structure, potentially strengthening his influence within the party’s Lagos chapter.
The encounter in Mecca highlights a growing relationship between Jandor and key APC figures, reinforcing his new political path and support for President Tinubu’s.
