The Kebbi State Government has expressed profound gratitude to the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) for its timely interventions in providing relief to the people of the state during disasters and emergencies.
The Deputy Governor, Senator Umar Abubakar Tafida, conveyed this appreciation on behalf of Governor Nasir Idris while receiving a NEMA delegation at the Cabinet Office in Birnin Kebbi on Tuesday.
Senator Tafida highlighted NEMA’s swift response in supporting flood victims last season, in collaboration with the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA).

Under Governor Nasir Idris’ leadership, we have implemented numerous empowerment and intervention programs across various sectors to improve the living standards of our people,” the Deputy Governor said. “We remain committed to doing our part and always welcome NEMA’s support to alleviate hardships during difficult times.”
The leader of the delegation, NEMA’s Director of Special Services, Hajiya Fatima Hassan, announced that the agency would commence the distribution of relief materials to vulnerable individuals in Birnin Kebbi on Wednesday.
“We are grateful to Governor Nasir Idris for his collaboration with NEMA in fulfilling our relief mandate. His invaluable support has been instrumental,”
Fatima stated. “The agency also commends the impressive developmental strides achieved by the current administration across Kebbi State.”
