Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Lahore, Pakistan, and North West University, Sokoto, to boost medical education and training.
“This partnership aims to enhance academic exchange programs, capacity building, research collaboration, and healthcare professional training, ultimately improving access to quality education and healthcare in Sokoto State and Nigeria”, the statement said.
S. L. A Dalharu Aminu, in the statement, further said the agreement is part of North West University Sokoto’s commitment to advancing medical studies and contributing to human capital development in the health sector.
The university has already made significant strides, including securing a full operational license from the National Universities Commission (NUC) and establishing a College of Health Sciences.
