The Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Abiodun Abayomi Oyebanji, has been overwhelmingly nominated and subsequently emerged as the Silverbird Man of the Year in 2024. This prestigious recognition is attributed to his exceptional performance in office over the last twenty-six months.
According to a statement issued on Thursday by the Ado-Central Local Council Development Area’s Director of Information & Civic Orientation, Mr. Sunday Olatunji, on behalf of the Council’s Chairman, Engr. Oluwatoyin Ojo said the Governor’s brilliant leadership has redefined governance in the state.
The Chairman expressed his profound delight, stating, “I wish to express my profound delight over your emergence as Silverbird Man of the Year, 2024. Your overwhelming nomination among the other three nominees in the country comes as no surprise, given the evident footprints of your strides in education, health, agriculture, tourism, social intervention for vulnerable groups, and infrastructure across the state.”
Oyebanji secured the highest number of votes, surpassing three other nominees, including the Governor of Borno State, Babangida Zulum, a renowned industrialist and CEO of Ibeta Group of Companies, Cletus Ibeto and Prince Arthur Eze, CEO of Atlas Onando Petroleum.
Engr. Ojo appealed to the Governor to continue prioritizing policies and initiatives that have earned him numerous prestigious awards, making the people of Ekiti State proud. The Chairman also enjoined the people to stand by the Governor’s administration to finish strong.
