Ilejemeje LG Chairman presents 2025 Budget
The Executive Chairman of Ilejemeje Local Government Area, Hon. Pius Dada, has presented a 2025 budget estimate of N5.7 billion to the Legislative Arm of the council.
The budget, which he christened “Budget of consolidation for the uplifting of Ilejemeje Local Government,” is 15% higher than the 2024 budget.
Presenting the budget proposal before the Ilejemeje Legislative House in Eda-Oniyo, Dada said that the recurrent expenditure would take N3.4 billion, which represents 65% percent, while capital expenditure would be N2.3 billion, representing 35%.
Hon. Pius Dada noted that the 2025 budget is designed to achieve the five-point agenda of his administration.
The council boss explained that the proposed appropriation bill was a product of wide consultations committed to ensuring accountability, transparency, and responsive service delivery to the people of Ilejemeje Local Government Area.
Receiving the budget proposal, the Leader of the House, Hon. Bankole Segun assured the chairman that the House would expedite action on the budget.
The event was attended by the Vice Chairman, Secretary to the Local Government, Leader of the Legislative Arm, counselors, and Supervisors.
Others are the Head of Local Government Administration( HLA), traditional rulers, party leaders, top local government functionaries, and security agencies, among others.
