So-Safe Corps boost security ahead of Yuletide Celebrations
The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation, and Safety Corps (So-Safe Corps) have called on stakeholders across the state to enhance security awareness and education within their communities during the festive period and New Year celebrations.
In a statement, the State Commander, Dr. Soji Ganzallo, emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in fostering a secure environment. He urged landlords, landladies, community leaders, and religious leaders to prioritize the promotion of security consciousness among their constituents.
To address potential threats effectively, Zonal and Area Commanders of the Corps have been mandated to intensify surveillance and enforcement measures. The operation, which will run from December 15, 2024, to January 10, 2025, aims to ensure the safety and well-being of all law-abiding residents, visitors, and commuters within Ogun State.
Commander Ganzallo also tasked officers and personnel to rid Ogun State communities of criminal activities, including cultism, robbery, theft, “one chance” scams, and kidnapping for rituals or ransom. He reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to collaborating with the Nigeria Police and other sister security agencies to maintain the existing peace and security in the state.
