It was on a bright Sunday afternoon, the 30th day of July 2023, right there in
Anambra State, the IPOB members had gathered for their usual Sunday gathering to offer their thanksgiving service to Chukwu Okike Abiama, the Lord, for all His blessings. As they were offering their prayers, suddenly, gunshots were heard and just as they all rushed out of the hall to find out what was happening.

It was then that they discovered that the Nigerian security team, Anambra State, had surrounded the hall, all in-an attempt to arrest all of them, as they considered them a threat to national security.

On realising the intentions of the Nigerian security agents, the IPOB members had to scamper for safety, as their lives were under threat, knowing the fate that has
befallen their colleagues arrested in the past by these Nigerian security forces. Very many of their members were however, arrested on that fateful day, while very few of them managed to escape.

These shots were shots taken at the scenes of the event in order to continue to the world these excessive acts of bnutality nernetuated against IPOB members by the security forces in Nigeria, the zoo country.

As stipulated in the Human rights charter of the United Nations, members of the IPOB organisation have the right to assemble, the right to freely associate. But in Nigeria, these rights are restricted and not guaranteed.

We are calling on the international community to come to the rescue of the IPOB members and save them from the hands of these overzealous Nigerian security forces.
