Five IPOB leaders wanted by DSS over alleged role played in Maitama Abuja High Court Premises protes

The Department of State Services, DSS has declared five persons wanted in connection with the protest by the pro free Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of the Indigenous people of Biafra, IPOB group in Abuja.

According to a statement by the secret service, Ozemela Martin, Chima Anayochukwu, Okehienam Tochukwu Peter, Stephen Jack and Valentine Nwolu are wanted over their alleged involvement with the protest in Maitama Abuja High Court that Okehienam Tochukwu peter alleged to be a key member of indigenous people of Biafra IPOB.

The DSS said, Okehienam Tochukwu Peter (male) has been found to be the mastermind of the March 21, 2023 Maitama Abuja High Court premises protest.

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and their sympathizers had gathered at the Maitama High Court in Abuja premises where Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is being tried for alleged terrorism offenses to press for his release.

The DSS claimed that Okehienam Tochukwu Peter and his cohorts have gone into hiding, and have refused to honour invitations sent to them, promising a handsome reward for information leading to their whereabouts and arrest.

The Nigeria Police Force and the DSS have since the IPOB’s agitation clamped down on persons sympathetic to their cause resulting in arrest and injuries in some instances.
