Emir of Ilorin approves commencement dates for Taraweeh Prayer, Annual Palace Tafsir

The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Council of Chiefs, Mai-Martaba Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, has given approval for the commencement of Taraweeh prayers for this year’s Ramadan at the palace to begin on Sunday 5th April 2022.
In a statement signed by his Spokesman, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona, the Taraweeh prayer will hold at the Masjid Sheik Alimi inside the Ilorin Emir’s Palace.
According to the statement, “The taraweeh prayer which is slated for 7:30pm daily is strictly for the family members of His Royal Highness, the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Council of Chiefs, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR as well as other palace residents.
Similarly, the Annual Tafsir lecture at the Emir’s Palace for the entire people of Ilorin emirate and beyond will commence on Tuesday 5th April 2022 by the Chief Imam of Ilorin Dr. Muhammad Bashir Imam- Soliu OON begining from 10am daily.
The Emir therefore enjoined sons and daughters of Ilorin emirate to explore the numerous opportunities provided by the glorious month of Ramadan to be more closer to God at all times.
