President Muhammadu Buhari has nominated a new minister.

Our Correspondent gathered that President Buhari has nominated Muazu Sambo from Taraba State, North Eastern Nigeria, and has written to seek the confirmation of the Senate.

Senate President Ahmad Lawan read Buhari’s letter at the red chamber during plenary on Tuesday.

It would be recalled that President Buhari relieved Saleh Mamman of his duty as the Minister of Power. The Minister of State for Works, Abubakar Aliyu was immediately announced as the acting Minister for Power.

The New Minister is expected to fill the position of Minister of Power

The Presidential Spokesman, Femi Adesina, however, noted that the sack of the minister was not based on weakness.
