Air Force operatives rescue seven kidnapped expatriates
The Kaduna State Government has commended the Nigerian Air Force for rescuing seven kidnapped Chinese nationals.
Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, said this in a statement on Saturday,
Aruwan in the statement in Kaduna, said the victims were kidnapped in June by terrorists in a neighbouring state.
He said: “According to a report from the Nigerian Air Force, Special Forces, under the 271 NAF detachment, conducted the operation in Kampanin Doka and Gwaska areas of Birnin GwariLocal Government Area.
“The team successfully rescued the seven expatriates who have been conveyed to a secure facility.”
The commissioner said that Governor Nasir El-Rufai expressed satisfaction with the development and commended the Chief of Air Staff as well as the Commander and men of the 271 NAF detachment for the operation.
Aruwan said that the citizens would be updated on further developments.
