PDP aspirants must respect the candidate that would emerge.- Former Gov. Peter Obi

Former governor of Anambra state, Mr. Peter Obi has declared that whosoever emerged as the People’s Democratic Party PDP Presidential candidate will be respected by party members.
The former Governor and Vice Presidential candidate in the 2019 general election made this declaration when he fielded questions from Newsmen in Minna after visiting the state Secretariat of PDP.
Mr Obi who said he was in Minna Niger state on a private visit explained that the decision to respect the decision of PDP is that the party is bigger than all of them.
He however advised the People’s Democratic Party PDP to ensure that only people who are competent and have the capacity to lead are chosen as flag bearers to further put them on the path of success.
According to him people who are competent on the affairs of Nigeria should be given the chance to provide necessary changes needed to propel the country to achieve greatness and that people should ask whoever come to them about his background.
The former Anambra state Governor who sited an example of what is happening in Niger state to include insecurity and for weeks primary school teachers were on strike as unacceptable.
Mr Obi who is reportedly eyeing the number one seat maintained that we cannot continue like this and thus the need for a complete departure to an era of sustainable progress and development.
Former Niger state Governor Dr Muazu Babangida Aliyu and state Chairman of PDP Barrister Tanko Beji were unanimous in their submission that Nigerians are waiting for PDP as such they must come as a united front to enable them take advantage of this opportunity.
