Popular American streamer IShowSpeed has expressed his desire to become a Nigerian passport holder during an encounter with Seyi Tinubu and his family at the 2026 FIFA World Cup final in New York.
A video making the rounds on social media captured the moment a member of Seyi Tinubu’s entourage informed the internet personality that the son of Nigeria’s president was present at the event.
IShowSpeed immediately walked over to greet Seyi Tinubu and later posed for photographs with his children.
During the interaction, the streamer jokingly told the children to persuade their father to help him obtain Nigerian citizenship.
“Tell your dad to get me a Nigerian passport,” he said.
Addressing Seyi Tinubu directly, IShowSpeed added, “Hey man, I’ve got to get my passport.”
Seyi Tinubu responded warmly, saying, “It’s nice meeting you,” before making a gesture that appeared to suggest he would look into the request.
The brief exchange has since attracted widespread attention on social media, with many Nigerians reacting to the streamer’s enthusiasm for the country.
