The Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, has heartily congratulated His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for emerging once again as the presidential flag bearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027 general elections.

Contained in a Press statement signed by Tersoo Kula, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Benue State, on Sunday and made available to Standard Times Nigeria, the Governor maintained that President Tinubu’s victory was well-deserved, describing the victory as a round peg in a round hole.

Governor Alia equally extended warm congratulations to all those who emerged victorious as APC candidates and flagbearers across the country at the victorious stages of the primary elections conducted by the party.

He stated that their emergence is a reflection of the confidence reposed in them by party faithful and stakeholders.

The Governor particularly appreciated the National Working Committee of the APC, led by Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, for providing the needed purposeful leadership, ensuring a peaceful atmosphere, and organizing transparent and successful primaries across the federation.

He emphasized that the smooth conduct of the exercise clearly demonstrates the growing strength, internal democracy, and unity within the APC family.

He expressed confidence that the APC will continue to wax stronger and remain committed to delivering purposeful leadership, good governance, and sustainable development to Nigerians.

He wished all the party’s candidates success as they prepare for the 2027 General Elections.
