The party’s National Assembly primaries election Committee under the leadership of Engr. Awal Abdullahi Aliyu arrived in the state, assuring equal opportunity for all aspirants.
Engr. Awal Abdullahi Aliyu, the Chairman, Zamfara state National Assembly primaries election committee, gave the assurance upon the committee’s arrival in the state while briefing Journalists on the mandate of the committee in Gusau, the state capital.
In his words, he said, the national headquarters of our great party, APC, instituted committees and appointed people to oversee activities of the party and ensure free, fair, and credible primary elections in various states. Zamfara state happens to be one of those states.
Monday, 18th May has been slated for the commencement of these national Assembly primary elections. All members of my committee and I are in the state for adequate preparation towards a successful primary elections exercise.
I want to assure both the citizens, the government, and the aspirants, as well as the supporters, that my committee will walk within the ambiance of the Law to ensure we administer free, fair, and credible primary elections that would be violence-free, and such that would be acceptable by all in a satisfactory manner.
The reason that the national working committee gave us this important responsibility in Zamfara state is that they know that we have the capacity, wisdom, and wealth of experience to deliver based on the law guiding the affairs of the party.
We are assuring every aspirant of our great party that we will administer justice to all through the policy of fairness, sincerity, and accountability.
We pledge never to take sides nor be biased to anyone during the exercise, but ensure everyone has equal opportunity to free, fair, and credible primary elections in Zamfara state.
The committee urged every aspirant and their supporters to remain calm and abide by the rules of the party throughout the process in order not to be disqualified from the primary elections exercise.
