The Honourable Minister of Interior has commended the leadership and personnel of agencies under the Ministry for their dedication, professionalism, and commitment to improving service delivery to Nigerians.

The Minister gave the commendation at the end of a three-day strategic engagement with heads of agencies and senior officials of the Ministry, describing the Ministry of Interior as a united institution working collectively toward protecting citizens and strengthening national institutions.

According to the Minister, collaboration and mutual support remain central to the Ministry’s operations.
“Our mantra in the Ministry of Interior is one for all, all for one. We must support one another and ensure that we deliver results for Nigerians,” he said.

As part of efforts to strengthen accountability and efficiency, the Minister also signed the 2026 Performance Bonds with the heads of agencies under the Ministry.

The move, he explained, reinforces the Ministry’s commitment to measurable outcomes, improved performance, and enhanced service delivery across its institutions.

He highlighted several achievements recorded by agencies within the Ministry, including improved border management operations, faster emergency response by the Federal Fire Service, stronger protection of critical national assets by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, and ongoing reforms within the Nigerian Correctional Service.
Looking ahead to 2026, the Minister urged all agencies to remain focused on their mandates and avoid distractions from political activities, stressing the importance of sustained dedication to duty.
“A new Nigeria is possible, achievable, and attainable.

Together, through dedication and collaboration, we can make that vision a reality,” the Minister stated.
