Sokoto state government has approved the appointment of Ahmad Hassan Danbaba as the new Magajin Garin Sokoto.

He’s the son of late Alhaji Hassan Ahmad Danbaba, a grandson of the late Sir Ahmadu Bello KBE, Sardaunan Sakkwato.

The appointment has been welcomed, and prayers have been said for the new Magajin Garin Sokoto’s success and guidance.

The Magajin Garin Sokoto is a traditional title given to the head of the Sokoto City administration.

The role is significant in the Sokoto Emirate, as the Magajin Garin Sokoto serves as a key advisor to the Sultan of Sokoto and plays a crucial role in maintaining the cultural and traditional heritage of the Sokoto Caliphate.

The appointment of Alhaji Ahmad Hassan Danbaba is seen as a way to continue the legacy of his ancestors, particularly his great-grandfather, Sir Ahmadu Bello, who was a prominent leader in Nigerian history.
