The Edo State Police Command has issued a notice requesting the appearance of Mr. John Ekuase, aged 47, of No. 11 Idehen Street, Aduwawa College Road, Ikpoba Hill, Benin City, Edo State, in relation to an ongoing investigation.
According to information released by the Command, Mr. Ekuase was invited to report to the Department of Criminal Investigation and Intelligence (DCII), Benin City, on September 18, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., for questioning connected to allegations currently under review.
The Police stated that the invitation followed an investigation in which another individual, Mr. Uyi Osaigbovo, reportedly made statements referencing Mr. Ekuase during police inquiry.
Police sources indicated that Mr. Ekuase did not present himself as requested and has remained unavailable for further engagement with investigators. As a result, the Command has issued a public notice requesting that he report to the nearest police station to assist with the ongoing inquiry.
Further information provided by the Police identifies Mr. Ekuase as originating from Evbiekoi Village, Uhunmwonde Local Government Area, Edo State.
The Edo State Police Command noted that the matter remains under investigation and urged Mr. Ekuase to cooperate with authorities to enable the conclusion of the inquiry.
