The entire people of Alapata Community, a serene town in Okinni Kingdom, Egbedore Local Government of Osun State is poised to once again write a resplendent chapter in its rich traditional and cultural history as it prepares to host who is who across the country during the coronation ceremony of some notable personalities scheduled to hold January 9th 2026 at Olu of Alapata palace.

The ceremony which promises to be a convergence of cultural heritage, tradition, unity of purpose and communal pride is expected to attract sons and daughters of Alapata Land, Friends of the community, members of the general public, traditional rulers and government representatives.

In a press statement from the palace of Olu of Alapata, HRH Oba Abdul Azeez Ajayi Babatunde Adewale said, the event is not just an installation ceremony but has been meticulously curated to reflect both the cultural and modern aspiration of the Alapata people in Osun State. According to the traditional ruler, “those that will be installed with the different traditional tittles are notable personalities and people of dignity.They are Alhaja Fausat Bolaji Olaniyan as Iyalode of Alapata Land, Alhaja Rianat Olanrewaju Lawal as Iyaloja of Alapata Land, Alhaji Babatunde Saheed (Oluomo Cotonou) as Agba Akin of Alapata Land, Salaudeen Abdullahi Iyanda as Oluomo of Alapata Land and Sanusi Tajudeen Akanni as Baba Kekere of Alapata Land.” Kabiyesi confirmed. While Oba Abdul Azeez Ajayi Babatunde Adewale, the Olu of Alapata appreciating Almighty God for the protection over  his people and the entire town, he reiterated further that the event is for the progress and development of Alapata town in general.

The event will also play host to an array of distinguished guests of honour, traditional rulers such as His lmperial Majesty Oba Ogunwusi Enitan Ooni of ife, HRM Oba Munirudeen Adesola Lawal, Laminisa  1,Timi of Ede, HRM Oba Oyetunji Jimoh  Olaniyi, the Ataoja of Osogbo,  HRM Oba Kazeem  Oyelude  Oyekunle Ilufemiloye, Olokinni of Okinni Kingdom, Community leaders and notable personalities.
