The Zamfara State Police Command has joined other Police Commands across the country to celebrate the 70th anniversary of women’s inclusion in the Nigeria Police Force and reflect on their historic milestone, decades of dedication, courage, and exceptional service to the nation.
As part of the activities marking the event, female police officers of the Command paid a home visit to retired senior female officers. During the visit, the team celebrated with the retirees and commended them for their selfless service, professionalism, and remarkable contributions to the Nigeria Police Force during their years of active duties.

For the Commissioner of Police in Gusau, the female officers also visited the Nigeria Police Secondary School, Gusau, where they sensitized the students, particularly young girls, on the pivotal roles women play in policing and nation-building.
They encouraged the students to consider careers in the Nigerian Police Force, reassuring them that women continue to excel in diverse responsibilities within the service.
Additionally, the officers paid a courtesy visit to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Gusau, where they provided financial assistance to support patients with difficulties in paying their medical bills.
The female police officers of the Zamfara State Command today embarked on a 5-kilometre road walk within Gusau metropolis.
The exercise is seen as one of the activities lined up to celebrate seven decades of dedication, professionalism, and invaluable contributions of women to policing and national security.
The road walk featured female personnel from various units and formations across the Command, demonstrating unity, strength, and a shared commitment to service.
The event also highlighted the remarkable resilience and steadfastness of women police officers in promoting peace, protecting lives and property, and supporting security operations in Zamfara State and the country as a whole.
