Morgan Rogers delivered a ruthless second-half brace as Aston Villa overturned a shaky start to beat Leeds 2–1 at Elland Road and storm into the Premier League’s top four.
Leeds began aggressively and snatched the lead through a messy sequence in which Emi Martínez complained of a foul before the ball ricocheted into the net off Lukas Nmecha.
But their energy evaporated after halftime, right when Villa exploded to life.
Rogers levelled just three minutes after the restart, redirecting a sharp cross from substitute Donyell Malen.
Minutes later, he curled a deadly free-kick into the top corner, silencing Elland Road.
Leeds thought they had equalised instantly, but Calvert-Lewin handled the ball before scoring.
Martínez later denied Struijk with a superb save as Villa clung on.
With six wins in seven games, Villa are now Champions League contenders.
Leeds, stuck in the relegation zone, remains their own worst enemy.
