The former Director General of Security matters to the immediate past Governor of Zamfara and the Minister of State for Defence, Bello Mohammed Matawalle, and the former Publicity Secretary to Senator Kabiru Mafara, Alhaji Muhammad Bello Soja Bakyasuwa, have declared their allegiance and unflinching loyalty to the All Progressive Congress, APC, in Zamfara state.
This declaration becomes necessary due to the sudden decision of his political Principal Senator Kabiru Mafara to join the African Democratic Congress, ADC, without proper consultation of the teaming supporters.
Bello Bakyasuwa, the immediate past Commandant, Zamfara Anti-Thuggery Agency, declared his stance for APC while addressing journalists on Friday at Zamfara State Correspondents’ Office in Gusa, the state capital.
In his words, he said, “I am proud of my party, the APC, and I will do everything within my powers to promote the party’s strength.
“I want to inform the good people of Zamfara that I have not resigned my membership from the APC.
“I will work for the success of APC in Zamfara under the Leadership of His Excellency Bello Matawalle and Senator Abdul’aziz Yari”, he said.
“I will also work for the victory of President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Zamfara come the 2027 general elections.
“I choose to remain in APC because it is the only political party that would beat down every other opposition and reclaim political dominance in Zamfara state and Nigeria as a whole”.
“I remain in APC and all my political loyalty is now for His Excellency, Hon. Bello Muhammad Matawalle. And His Excellency Sen Abdul’aziz Yari Abubakar”, he emphasized.
At this note: I want to appreciate Hon. Abdulmalik Zubairu, Zannan Bungudu, member representing Bungudu/Maru Federal Constituency, and Hon Yazid Shehu Danfulani for their efforts and strong engagements at the grassroots level, which have promoted and strengthened APC in the state.
“As a grassroots politician, I refuse to join a political group that lacks strength and focus and choose to go along with the winning team, which consists of seasoned and experienced political Leaders with great abilities to take Zamfara state and Nigeria to greater heights”.
“Another reason I choose to remain in APC is in consideration of the giant strides of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu currently at the Federal Government level and the effort of the Minister of State for Defence, Hon. Bello Matawalle, towards curtailing insecurity.
Matawalle’s effort towards addressing security challenges in the state was better than that of the present PDP-led administration in the state under Governor Dauda Lawal.
“I was part of Matawalle’s government, and I know how he made tremendous efforts towards addressing security challenges in the state”, Bakyasuwa further explained.
“As a Minister now Matawalle is now doing an excellent job by making sure sustainable security, peace, and stability are achieved.
“At this juncture, I want to inform the general public, especially the good people of Zamfara, that I remain in APC and I will try to promote the interest of the party by all means”, he said.
