ATC to host first Pan-African tourism summit in Lagos

The African Travel Commission (ATC) has announced the inaugural Pan-African Tourism Summit and Exhibition, which will be held in February 2026 in Lagos.

The theme: “Accelerating Africa’s Tourism Growth through Innovation, Partnerships and Sustainable Investments”, as the summit will bring together tourism ministers, aviation leaders, investors, development partners, national tourism boards, and the media.

The ATC Executive Director, Lucky Onoriode George, said the summit will provide a platform for policy dialogue, collaboration, and investment to drive Africa’s tourism competitiveness.

However, the event is expected to partner with the Nigerian Tourism Development Authority (NTDA), which the two-day event will feature CEO roundtables, B2B exhibitions, investment pitches, workshops, and a gala and awards night.

ATC, headquartered in Accra, Ghana, has been promoting continental tourism cooperation for over six decades and has played a role in the evolution of the United Nations Tourism.
