EPL: Bournemouth fold again as Haaland runs riot, City laugh their way to second

It was another rough day at the office for Bournemouth, who once again played the perfect victims as Erling Haaland and Manchester City brushed them aside 3–1 on Sunday, with Pep Guardiola’s men barely breaking a sweat.

Coming into the game already under pressure after every other title rival had won, City still made it look routine. Bournemouth started brightly, even managing to give their fans false hope when Tyler Adams scrambled in an equaliser to cancel out Haaland’s opener.

But, true to form, the Cherries couldn’t hold it together for long. Haaland struck again to restore order before Nico O’Reilly sealed it with a well-taken third, leaving Bournemouth chasing shadows for the rest of the match.

City’s win moves them up to second place with 19 points, six behind leaders Arsenal, while Bournemouth can only wonder if they’ll ever stop being everyone’s favourite three-point supplier.
