Sokoto State Governor Ahmed Aliyu was among 24 All Progressives Congress (APC) governors who convened in Birnin Kebbi for a crucial meeting of the Progressives Governors’ Forum (PGF), held Thursday night in the Kebbi State capital.

The high-level gathering, attended by APC governors from across the country, focused on strengthening unity within the party and reaffirming support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

In a statement issued by the Governor’s Director General of Media and Publicity, Bawa Abubakar, the meeting was described as a demonstration of party solidarity and shared commitment to national development.

Chairman of the Forum and Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma, delivered the official communiqué, expressing satisfaction with the ongoing progress in areas such as the economy, security, and food stability under President Tinubu’s administration.

“The Forum commends President Tinubu’s efforts, particularly in addressing food security and reviving the economy. We pledge our continued support for the Renewed Hope Agenda,” Uzodimma stated.

The APC governors urged Nigerians to stand behind the president’s vision, calling for unity and national interest above all.

The communiqué also emphasized:

Continued support for the APC leadership
Commitment to internal party democracy
A resolve to enhance inter-state collaboration
And a shared vision to drive innovation and inclusive governance across APC-controlled states

Governor Ahmed Aliyu’s participation signals Sokoto State’s alignment with national developmental goals and its role in contributing to the APC’s broader vision of progress and good governance.
