PSG Clinch 13th Ligue 1 Title with Six Matches Remaining

Paris Saint-Germain secured their 13th Ligue 1 crown on Saturday with a narrow 1-0 victory over Angers, wrapping up the title with six games still left in the season.

Manager Luis Enrique has now shifted focus to an ambitious new goal, guiding PSG through the entire league campaign unbeaten. “We’re motivated to try and finish the season without a loss,” he said after sealing a fourth consecutive domestic triumph.

The match’s decisive moment came courtesy of Desire Doue, whose goal ensured another milestone in an already dominant season for the Parisians, who remain in the hunt for Champions League glory.

This latest title win further cements PSG’s grip on French football, and it’s notable that only once, during the 2015-16 campaign, has the club clinched the Ligue 1 title earlier, doing so with eight games to spare.

Despite their domestic success, PSG have never completed an entire league season unbeaten, a feat no French side has ever accomplished. That could change this season, potentially placing them alongside a select group of clubs across Europe’s top five leagues that includes Bayer Leverkusen, Juventus, Arsenal, AC Milan, Perugia, and Preston North End.

With the Ligue 1 trophy secured, PSG will now turn their attention to their upcoming Champions League clash against Aston Villa in midweek.

Although they have no league fixture next weekend, PSG still face games against Le Havre, Nantes, Nice, Strasbourg, Montpellier, and Auxerre, matches that will test their resolve to end the season without a single defeat.

PSG’s league titles came in the years: 1986, 1994, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2022, 2023, 2024, and now 2025.
