I’m Holier Than You – Lizzy Anjorin Blasts Tope Alabi For Refusing To Perform At Her Birthday
Nollywood actress Lizzy Anjorin has sparked controversy by declaring herself more spiritually upright than renowned gospel singer Tope Alabi. This came in response to Alabi’s refusal to perform at a birthday celebration after discovering the identity of the celebrant.
Tope Alabi and her husband, Soji, who also manages her career, reportedly stayed in their car upon arrival and declined to participate in the event. Anjorin responded via Instagram, slamming the organizers and asserting she had no need for the singer’s presence.
“I appreciate Aunty Tope, but I don’t require her for anything,” she stated. “If I had extended the invitation myself, I wouldn’t have paid her a kobo. I’ve made more positive impact than she has. My conscience is clear, and I live a purer life. Even my court issues haven’t defined me, and I’m grateful for that.”
She added that the best of Alabi’s songs are already in her collection and could be played without the singer’s presence.
