Ramadan: Jigawa reduces work time by two hours

The Jigawa State Government has approved the reduction of official work hour time by two hours during the 2023 Ramadan fasting.

Head of the Civil Service, Alhaji Hussaini Ali Kila, stated this in a statement issued to newsmen.

According to the statement, civil servants in the state would now report to the office at 9 am and close by 3 pm between Monday and Thursday, instead of 5 pm.

“While on Friday, workers would report by 9 am and close by 1 pm,” he said.

He said the gesture is to provide civil servants with opportunities to prepare for Ramadan break and to have more time to observe spiritual activities of the holy month of Ramadan.
