Two hitherto unknown attackers of TRACE Operative, WSTO Samson Olaola have been arrested by the Police and were arraigned before Ota Magistrate’s Court, today, Monday, March 13, 2023.
The accused who pleaded not guilty to four counts charge of conspiracy, attack with dangerous weapon and fist blow, as well as causing face injury on Olaolo Samson on March 2nd, 2023, are Toheeb Olawale and Rasaq Taiwo.
They are also standing trial of harassing a traffic officer who was performing his lawful duties and putting up behavior in a disorderly manner and constituting nuisance in a public place, at Martina Junction, Joju, Along Lagos – Abeokuta Expressway, Sango.
One Barrister K. Ajose who appeared for the two accused prayed for their bail in a liberal term, the prosecutor, Inspector Sampson Rosemary, though did not oppose the prayer, she urged Court to attach stringent conditions to serve as a deterrent.
Magistrate A. O. Onagoruwa released each of the accused on bail in N200, 000 with two sureties in like sum.
Each of the sureties should have landed properties in the state and produce tax clearance and evidence of likelihood.
Further hearing has been fixed for March 27, 2023.
