The leadership of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Kebbi State Wing, under the Chairmanship of Comrade Zaki Sarki SK, on behalf of the entire teachers of Kebbi State, has expressed profound joy and heartfelt commendation to the Kebbi State Government under the purposeful leadership of His Excellency, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, for approving and implementing the full Sequential/Consequential Adjustment for Primary School Teachers and the restoration of Headmasters and Assistant Headmasters’ allowances.
In a statement issued on Monday to Journalists in Birnin Kebbi, Comrade Zaki Sarki described the development as historic, highly teacher-friendly, and a clear demonstration of the present administration’s sincere commitment to the welfare of teachers and the revitalization of basic education in the state.
According to him, primary school teachers have yearned for this adjustment arising from the new minimum wage for many years. The emergence of Governor Nasir Idris – a professional teacher, a comrade and former National President of the NUT – has restored hope, dignity and pride to the teaching profession in Kebbi State.
In his words he affirmed, “This is exactly what we have been expecting from a Teacher-Governor. His Excellency Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris has once again proven to be a true father, a comrade indeed and a leader who understands the pains and aspirations of teachers.
By approving the full sequential adjustment and Headmasters’ and Assistant Head Teachers’ allowances, he has written his name in gold in the history of Kebbi State teachers.

Comrade Zaki Sarki noted that the approval will significantly boost morale, dedication and productivity among teachers at the grassroots and enhance effective teaching and learning across the 21 Local Government Areas of the state.
