The Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC Governorship candidate, Senator Kabir Garba Marafa has vowed to bring and end to insecurity bedevilling Zamfara state and restore lasting peace within the span of two years if elected as the Governor or resign his position.
He stated this on Wednesday in his Gusau residence while engaging the members of the Nigeria Union of Journalist’s Correspondents chapel on a media chat over his emergence as the NDC Governorship candidate in the state and his zeal to make positive difference if elected as the Governor come 2027 general elections.
Marafa has on Tuesday donated campaign vehicles to the NDC state chairman, campaign DG and other zonal campaign executives within the state after a successful flag-off of campaign activities on Monday.
The donation of vehicles to leadership of the party and campaign executives is part of his campaign strategy to strengthen the zeal of the leadership team to go all out and ensure total victory of NDC come 2027 general elections.
In his words, the NDC Zamfara state Gubernatorial Candidate said, ” I served as a Commissioner for many years in this state, I also served as a Senator for many years, I know the problem of this state and how to solve it”.
“If I would be elected as a Governor in the forthcoming general elections, give me a period of two years and I will end insecurity in this state”.
“If I cannot bring an end to insecurity, Insurgency, kidnapping and other criminalities in Zamfara state within the period of two years, I will voluntarily resign” he reiterated.
Marafa called on the people of Zamfara state to rally round NDC and give in their best to ensure the success of all NDC candidates at the 2027 pools, assuring a peaceful, progressive and stable state if elected as a Governor.
