By: Jabiru Hassan.

The Nigeria Police Academy has officially inaugurated its Strategic Lecture Series for the cadets of Regular Course 8.

This initiative is part of an ongoing effort to bridge the gap between academic theory and practical law enforcement applications.

The lecture series exemplifies the vision and commitment of the 23rd Indigenous Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, who has consistently promoted the modernization of police education and training.

The realization of this vision on campus is led by the 25th Commandant of the Academy, AIG Auwal Musa Muhammad, Anipr, Mspsp, Psc, who organized the initiative to facilitate direct learning from experienced professionals in the field.

The session featured a comprehensive presentation by CP Ali Audu Dabigi, PSC (Retired), a highly respected and seasoned RTD police officer.

With extensive operational experience—including roles as Squadron Commander in various Nigeria Police Mobile Force units, pioneer Commandant of the Police Mobile Force Training School at Ende-Hills, Commandant of Police Mobile Force Ila-Orangun, Commissioner of Police for Kaduna State, and currently as the Commander of the Kaduna State Vigilante Service (KADVS)—CP Dabigi provided the cadets with a masterclass in command leadership, community policing, and managing contemporary security challenges.

During the event, the Commandant, AIG Auwal Musa Muhammad, expressed appreciation to the guest speaker for his valuable insights and for sharing his expertise with the future officers.

The Commandant emphasized that exposure to distinguished senior leaders is essential for developing the character, strategic mindset, and skills necessary for effective service.

The event concluded with a formal group photograph including the POLAC management team, senior police officers, cadets, and the guest speaker.

To commemorate the occasion and recognize his contributions, the Commandant presented CP Ali Audu Dabigi (RTD) with a souvenir plaque as an expression of appreciation for his lifelong commitment to national security
