Nigerian singer Ayra Starr has been announced as the headline performer for the halftime show of the 2026 NFL London Game.
The Afrobeats star will perform during the clash between the Philadelphia Eagles and Jacksonville Jaguars at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London on October 11.
The NFL confirmed the announcement, describing Ayra Starr as the first major African artiste to headline one of its London halftime shows.
Reacting to the development, the singer said performing on the NFL stage in one of her favourite cities was a dream come true.
The NFL’s Senior Director of Global Game Presentation, Music and Entertainment, Tim Tubito, said African music has become an important part of London’s music culture and described Ayra Starr as the right artiste to lead this milestone performance.
Her appearance marks another major international achievement for African music, as previous NFL London halftime shows have largely featured British and American performers.
