The minister of power Mr. Joseph Tegbe disclosed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is very much committed to the transformation of Nigeria’s power sector to confront the infrastructure constraints that have limited this nation’s economic potentials.
He stated this at the commissioning of 1X100MVA, 132/33KVA Power Transformer At Alausa (Lagos) 132/33KVATransmission Substation, adding that the president is strengthening transmission infrastructure across Nigeria to enhance national economic growth.
The minister who gave a long remark about the Tinubu administration’s determination to providing adequate power supply emphasized that a lot is being done to makes electricity supply more constant by improving transmission network with optimum results.
Mr. Joseph Tegbe stressed that “where transmission infrastructure is constraining available power, we would strengthen transmission, where substations require additional capacity, we would expand them and where ageing equipment threatens reliability, we would rehabilitate or replace them to unlock economic activities”.
In his speech, the managing director and chief executive officer of the Transmission company of Nigeria(TCN) Engineer Sule A. Abdulaziz described the projects as a direct reflection of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration and the TCN’s unrelenting drive to strengthen and expend the nation’s transmission infrastructure.
He expressed his profound gratitude to president Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the minister of power, the world Bank, the Lagos state governor, contractors handling the projects and all the relevant stakeholders whose full support and collaboration made the milestone possible.
