OMD holds strategic workshop to strengthen West, Central Africa Partnership

The OMD hub for Western and Central Africa has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening collaboration across French-speaking West Africa following a strategic partners’ workshop held in Cotonou, Benin.

The workshop on July 23 brought partners from across the region together to align operational structures, share market intelligence, and ensure consistent delivery of client solutions.

According to the company, discussions focused on creating a unified operating structure, strengthening collaboration among markets, and deploying OMD’s global capabilities to help brands navigate the rapidly evolving economies of West and Central Africa.

Speaking at the event, Managing Director of mediareachOMD, Stephen Onaivi, said the workshop was aimed at reinforcing the long-standing partnership and ensuring clients continue to receive world-class media solutions across French-speaking West Africa.

“Our partnership with Orchestra and Harmonies OMD has grown over the last 10 years. The objective of this workshop is to strengthen and enhance that partnership so we can consistently meet clients’ needs by leveraging OMD’s global tools while maintaining the highest standards of service delivery across our markets,” Onaivi said.

Also speaking, Chairman of Orchestra, the holding company for Harmonies OMD, Sidikou Karimou, said the collaboration between the organisations has continued to create value for clients over the past decade.

He noted that the renewed commitment would combine OMD’s global reach with deep local market expertise to support brands seeking growth opportunities across Western and Central Africa.

Karimou added that the initiative would also improve collaboration among partner markets while ensuring consistent service quality and execution across the region.

mediareachOMD said the renewed partnership underscores its commitment to remaining a leading media partner for brands expanding across French-speaking West Africa and Central Africa.

The company operates as the OMD hub for Western and Central Africa with offices in Nigeria and is part of OMD Worldwide and Omnicom Media Group. It said it combines global media expertise with local market knowledge to help brands build stronger connections with consumers across the region.
