Bribery, Corruption, rigging of elections are increasing insecurity – Daddy Hezekiah

By: Austin Okoro.

The founder of Living Christ Mission, Worldwide, Professor Daddy Hezekiah, has stated that bribery, Corruption and rigging of elections in  Nigeria are the main causes of the rise in insecurity.

Recall that recently there has been a great increase in kidnapping, killings, armed robbery, and other forms of insecurity in Nigeria, making the lives of Nigerians miserable.

He noted that if the police at the checkpoints and other government functionaries stopped taking bribes, insecurity would stop.

Also, if corruption and rigging of elections were to end, Insecurity would as well stop in Nigeria.

Daddy Hezekiah stated this during a Press Conference and media Parley with Senior Journalists in Imo State on Saturday, June 13th, at the Living Christ Mission Church, Nkwerre, Imo State.

The renowned Prophet, who is known globally for his philanthropy, has emphasized that the Federal Government is not serious in the fight against insecurity because they have all it takes to stop it.

Adding that if Nigeria can put the correct things in place, the country would move forward.

Rigging of elections will make the wrong people be in office, and as long as there is compromise and criminals are in authority, insecurity will continue" he noted.

The Igbo global Cleric urges church leaders to mobilize their church members to participate in politics, register and collect their Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs), and be ready to vote during elections.

He also admonished Christians to shun bribery during elections but vote for the right candidates, " Let them not be carried away by money because even if you take #10,000.00 (ten thousand naira) and vote, with time you will suffer for it."

The Chancellor of Hezekiah University enjoins the Independent National Electoral Commission to be honest and stand for the truth, " let them desist from manipulating election results, so that the right people will emerge."

He noted that he has given scholarships to many indigent people in society who are now prominent men and women. Stressing that he gives scholarships to all the first-year students of Hezekiah University.

Imo chapter of Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ, Guilds of Editors, Imo Broadcasting Corporation IBC, and others thanked Daddy Hezekiah for his support and philanthropic gestures to them.

The Chairman of Imo NUJ, Ifeanyi Nwanguma, appealed to him to visit Imo Journalists at least once in a year to share views and receive fatherly advice and blessings as their Patron.

He finally advised Journalists to make peace with God and report the truth always." Do not tarnish the image of anybody, and in so doing, God Almighty will protect you against the anger of the wicked politicians."

Professor Hezekiah thanked Governor Hope Uzodinma for the good works he is doing for Nkwerre people, especially the ongoing road construction in Nkwerre LGA.
