The All Progressive Congress APC Stakeholder in Zamfara state and an aspirant for Zamfara North Senitorial District, Hon. Abdullahi Shinkafi has accused Dr. Bello Matawale for witch-hunting his personality over the recent petition sent to him by Economic and Financial Crime Commission EFCC.

It has been alleged that EFCC has invited him over a petition submitted to their office by certain people, in that petition, he has been accused of illegal mining and sponsor of terrorism in Zamfara state.

He made his position known through a press briefing conducted in his residence at Samaru area of Gusau the state capital.

Speaking, Abdullahi Shinkafi said, I am here today to address the press over an alleged EFCC Petition which was sponsored by some mischievous persons with malicious intent to tannish my good image that I built for several years now.

I want to state categorically that, I, Abdullahi Wambai Shinkafi has neither engage in illegal mining nor sponsored any terrorist group against the peace of Zamfara state and Nigeria.

The petition, sent from EFCC to Hon. Abdullahi Shinkafi dated back to the administration of the former Governor of Zamfara, now the Minister, state for Defence, Dr. Bello Muhammad Matawale-Maradun where some money were being sent to him for diverse purposes as a political friend and ally.

The leader of Wambai Shinkafi Political organization accused Dr. Bello Matawale, his close friend and associate who knew about the dealings as a person who made the internal activities known to EFCC with an intention to frustrate his political career and cripple his senatorial ambition.

The Zamfara APC Stakeholder confirmed in his words that N10million has been transferred to his company account five times during the administration of Dr. Bello Matawale, not as a contractor, but as an obedient ally sent to carryout missions that were meant for peace, stability and progress of the state.

He maintained that, everyone to who benefited from the gesture of Zamfara state Government during the administration of Dr. Bello Matawale under his stewardship are all alive to testify to his words.

He called on the leadership of APC in the state to come to his aid and rescue him from people who masqueraded themselves within Zamfara state with a malicious intent to assassinate his character, rubbish his good works for the party and destroy the goodwill he has built for years now.

Abdullahi Shinkafi remains a strong supporter of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Dr. Dauda Lawal’s second term ambition through his group, Wambai Shinkafi Political organization. Who through his group, large numbers of people from Zamfara state has agreed to give maximum support for Tinubu/Dauda second term bid.

He assured the people of Zamfara North Senitorial District to remain calm as he has decided never to drop his ambition because of any reason.

He called on the leadership of APC both in Zamfara and Nigeria to rise up and stand together with him against any form of mischievous intentions.
