The Kebbi State Governor Comerade Dr.Nasir Idris has paid for the 2026 Hajj Hadya, (sacrificial animal) for all intending pilgrims from Kebbi State.
This was disclosed on Monday by the Chairman Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Board Alhaji Faruku Aliyu-Yaro while inaugurating members of the 2026 Hajji exercise committee at the board’s premises.
The chairman stated that the gesture is part of the present administration’s commitment to ensuring good governance and accountability in the holy land.
“you can see that this development is an unprecedented gesture that demonstrates Governor Idris’s commitment to easing the burden on pilgrims” he added.
He pointed out that the 2026 Hajj exercise marks the fourth Hajj operation for which the governor has paid the Hadya, describing previous exercise as highly successful and commendable.
He then urge all intending pilgrims to continue prayering for the success of the administration.
The committees, inaugurated include those on feeding, transport, accommodation, media and publicity, hygiene, security, health, and welfare. while the advance teams will also be sent to Saudi Arabia to finalize arrangements ahead of the arrival of pilgrims.
The chairman further admonished all 21 Local Government Hajji guides to adhere strictly to the board’s guidelines by supporting pilgrims from their various Local Government areas, particularly in handling luggages and others proceedures.
He also appreciated all stakeholders who have contributed to the successful organization of the Hajj exercise in the state.
Also speaking, the 2026 Amirul Hajj Alhaji Ahmad Jafar Jega, thanked Govenor Idris for his continued support to the Board and for ensuring hitch-free Hajj operations each year.
He equally commended the chairman of the Board Alhaji Faruku Musa Yaro Enabo for his hard work and dedication to services.
He assured the Governor Idris that this year Hajji exercise would be even better than the previous ones, as all the memebers would work in synergy to ensure successful operation.
