Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, widely known as Yayi, has stepped up political consultations across Ogun West, convening a major meeting of All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders in Ilaro. The gathering drew influential party leaders and traditional rulers, signaling growing political alignment within the district.

Held under the auspices of the Ogun West APC Stakeholders Forum, the meeting brought together key political actors from across the senatorial zone. Deliberations centered on strengthening party unity, fostering collaboration, and outlining a shared direction ahead of upcoming political engagements in the state.

In recognition of the role of traditional institutions, Adeola also visited prominent monarchs in the area, where he received royal blessings an effort seen as crucial for grassroots mobilization and sustaining stability.

Among the royal fathers who hosted him were the Olu of Ilaro and Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, Oba Dr. Kehinde Olugbenle, who doubles as chairman of the Ogun State Traditional Council, and the Olota of Ota, Oba Abdulkabir Adeyemi Lanlege Ekun.

According to his aides, the visits reflect the senator’s appreciation of traditional leadership in promoting peace and community support. The monarchs reportedly offered prayers and counsel during the engagements.

Adeola was accompanied by a high-profile delegation, including Deputy Governor Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele and Minister of State for Health Dr. Kunle Salako, highlighting strong backing from both state and federal levels.

Also present were former and current lawmakers from the district, including Senators Kola Bajomo, Akin Odunsi, Gbolahan Dada, and Tolu Odebiyi, alongside members of the House of Representatives Hon. Gboyega Nosiru Isiaka, Hon. Tunji Akinosi, and Hon. Biodun Akinlade.

Other notable figures at the meeting included Alhaja Salmot Badru, Hon. Tolu Bankole, Hon. Kunle Akinlade, Hon. Kayode Oladele, and several government officials, making it one of the most significant recent assemblies of APC stakeholders in Ogun West.

As part of his outreach, the senator also paid a private courtesy visit to former Senator Iyabo Anisulowo at her residence in GRA, Ilaro, acknowledging her status as a respected elder in the district.

The consultations are part of ongoing efforts by Adeola to consolidate support and strengthen political cohesion across Ogun West, with stakeholders indicating that similar engagements will continue in other parts of the senatorial zone
