The Nigerian Union Of Teachers, NUT Kebbi state chapter under the leadership of the Chairman, Comrade Zaki Sarki SK has lauded the Governor, Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu over timely payment of entitlement for all Teachers and Civil Servants, expressing great joy on the successful completion of quality assurance exercise in the state.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Chairman of NUT, Kebbi state State chapter and made available to Journalists today in Birnin Kebbi the state capital.
With reference to the Press Release issued on April 13th 2026, the Union expressed unreserved appreciation to the State Government regarding the successful conduct of the General Quality Assurance exercise in Kebbi State.
According to the statement, the Union commended Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) and Kebbi State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) under the able leadership of Professor Sulaiman Khalid for this timely and critical exercise.
“Our Special recognition goes to the team led by Hajiya Hauwau Modibbo and Malam Bashir Dandare, alongside all the dedicated Quality Assurance officers and Local Government Education Authority, LGEA officials who participated from 31st March to 10th April, 2026”.
The coverage of nine schools across Birnin Kebbi, Argungu, and Aleiro LGEAs underscored the strong commitment to monitoring, teaching and learning processes, ensuring compliance with national standards, and improving basic education delivery in the state.
“We note with appreciation that the Kebbi State NUT, led by State Chairman Comrade Zaki Sarki SK, also commended the exercise and the efforts of all stakeholders involved”.
We appreciate the commendation extended to teachers, school administrators, and local education authorities, and we welcome the assurance of continuous support and follow-up.
Strengthening quality assurance mechanisms is indeed the foundation for sustainable educational development in Kebbi state and Nigeria at large.
We reaffirm our support for SUBEB and UBEC in this noble mission of ensuring every child in Kebbi State has access to sound, quality basic education.
Furthermore, the Union commended the Executive Governor of Kebbi state, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris over his steadfast commitment to the welfare of workers and in timely payment of entitlements to all Teachers and Civil Servants in the state.
