The Nigerians President, His Excellency Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has visited Kebbi state, mourned with the government and the people of the state over the passing of the House of Assembly Speaker, late Rt. Hon. Muhammad Usman Ankwai-Zuru, condemning the recent attack on Shangha Local Government Area.

PBAT was received in government house, Birnin Kebbi where he and his entourage expressed their condolences to the family of the late Speaker and families of the victims of the bandits attack, assuring them of adequate support from the Federal government.

Represented by the Vice President of the federation, Senator Kashim Shettima, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (PBAT) said, we are here in Kebbi to commiserate with you and to register our condolences over the passing of the speaker Of the state House of Assembly, Rt.Hon. Muhammad Usman Ankwai-Zuru, the recent bandit attacks on Shangha LGA, especially in communities like kebbe, Karkani, Tunwunri, Awayi and the lost of 11 gallant officers at Giro-masa.

We assure the government and the people of Kebbi state that the the heart of the Federal Government is with you.

According to Shettima, “the President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu strictly instructed me to come with the DG of NEMA, who is also the daughter of Kebbi state to ensure that adequate measures are put in place to support and restore peace to the displaced communities, please accept our condolences” he said.

May the Almighty Allah grant the souls of the departed a peaceful rest and give Aljana Fidausi, may Allah also give the government and people of Kebbi state the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable lost. For our gallant officers, I say, may their souls rest in peace.

While mourning the demise of his close friend and political ally, Rt. Hon. Muhammad Usman Ankwai-Zuru, the Executive Governor of Kebbi state, Dr. Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu said, when the sickness started, I took responsibility and flew him to India where he received treatment and when he was confirmed stabled, he came back healthy and medically fitted.

After sometimes, about three months and four months, the sickness resurfaced, I took him to London to receive proper treatment, he also returned healthy base on medical examinations.

Again, after a period of three months, the same sickness came and we sent him to Egypt, hoping we could have a better physicians attention that may bring an end to the resurfacing of similar sickness, but unfortunately, he died at the Egyptian Hospital.

The same way we did for the body of the late Emir of Zuru, we did the same thing, we sent delegates to bring the body to Zuru from Egypt. We went to Zuru, slept there, observed the burial rites according to Islamic tradition and returned to Birnin Kebbi

At your visit Sir, we invited the deceased family, the Emir of Zuru and members of Kebbi state House of Assembly to be presence and to receive the words of condolences that you have for them.

We use this opportunity to appreciate His Excellency Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his Deputy Kashim Shettima for always honouring our invitation and making themselves available in all periods of our celebration and grieves underscoring the high level of love you have for the Government and the people of Kebbi state.

Presence at the visit were the entourage of the VP, the DG of NEMA, Hajiya Zubaida Umar Waziri, members of Kebbi state House of Assembly, members of the family of the late Speaker, members of Kebbi state executive council and other diginitiries.
