The Edo State Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa on Sunday announced May 8 to 10 as the funeral activities for his late mother, Madam Esther Imaguomwanruo, who died in Benin last week at 95 years.

In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Friday Aghedo, the deputy governor said various activities have been lined up that will led to his final interment on May 9.

“It is going to be a Christian burial. On the 8th, her body will leave for a night of tributes and funeral activities. On the 9th, will be the socials, and, the 10th, will be the thanksgiving.”

He said he would communicate the line of schedules in due cause to keep people abreast of what the family intends to do.

Idahosa declared, “The family intends to give her a very befitting burial. We expect all of everyone to bepart of it.

“We are going to join hands with everybody, including her family, her community, our state, to thank God because it is a celebration of life.

“As the last child of the family, i am very grateful. Although I miss her every now and then, I know she has gone to be with the Lord to rest.

“That, is the support mechanism i have every night, when I go to bed without hearing the voice of my mother.

“I am very grateful for the visits from people from different works of life and I pray that God brings us closer, unite us further. During the time of this funeral, I expect to see all of you in solidarity, and praise God together for the life of my mother.”

The deputy who received members of the winners Chapel headquarters led by it’s pastor, Emmanuel Ibiwoyi,
urged for prayers for his family.

In his response, the cleric said the Idahosa family should be comforted with the life led by their mother while alive.

He described the deputy governor is a product of his mother, a symbol that she raised wonderful children who love God.
