‘Why drag EFCC into it’ — Daddy Freeze fires back over Blessing CEO scandal

Controversial media personality, Daddy Freeze, has lashed out at critics calling for his arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission over his association with relationship expert Blessing Okoro amid an alleged cancer scam.

The backlash followed an earlier Facebook Live interview where Blessing claimed she had been diagnosed with breast cancer at a Nigerian hospital but was uncertain about the stage of the disease.

Taking to Instagram, Daddy Freeze defended his position, arguing that he initially believed Blessing’s claims because of the severity of the illness involved.

He explained that the now-controversial medical report circulating online was the same document Blessing had personally sent to him.

Reacting angrily to calls for his arrest, Freeze questioned the logic behind dragging him into the controversy, stressing that he neither solicited nor handled any public donations on her behalf.

“I actually believed Blessing CEO initially because I dont think anyone would come out and use cancer to lie. Cancer is a very terrible disease. The report she sent to me is the same one that was later discovered to be fake,” he said.

He further challenged those targeting him, distancing himself from any financial wrongdoing linked to the situation.

“To those saying the EFCC should arrest me for supporting her, did I raise any donations for her? Well, I still believe she has a type of cancer because I don’t think she would just come out and call cancer on herself,” he added.
