The President of the National Youth Alliance (NYA), Ambassador Aliyu Bin Abbas, has called on Nigerian youths to rise with courage, unity, and a strong sense of purpose to safeguard the nation’s democracy and future.

The call was made during the NYA Seminar themed “Birthing a New Nigeria,” alongside the inauguration of 112 Local Government Coordinators for the North-East Zone, held in Bauchi State.

In his address, Ambassador Abbas urged young Nigerians to remain disciplined, principled, and committed to national service, emphasizing that the responsibility of rebuilding and repositioning Nigeria lies squarely with the youth.

“Nigeria is at a critical juncture. We must rise with determination and a shared vision to rescue and reposition our nation,” he stated.

He further stressed the importance of youth participation in leadership and governance, noting that the time has come for a new generation to uphold the sacrifices of past national heroes by defending and strengthening democratic institutions.

Guest Speaker, Senator Adamu Ibrahim Gumba, commended the NYA for its patriotic vision and commitment to national transformation.

He encouraged members to actively engage in the political process and work collectively within viable platforms to drive sustainable change in Nigeria.

Also speaking, the Bauchi State Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs, Hon. Hajara Yakubu Wanka, expressed optimism about the role of Nigerian youths in nation-building, stating that unity, commitment, and vision among young people would place Nigeria firmly on the path of progress.

The event marks a significant milestone in NYA’s ongoing efforts to mobilize, inspire, and empower young Nigerians toward building a more inclusive, progressive, and democratic nation.
