Golf icon Tiger Woods is facing renewed scrutiny after admitting he was distracted by his phone moments before a car crash in Florida.
According to police reports, Woods was changing music while driving when he failed to notice traffic slowing ahead.
His SUV crashed into a trailer and flipped onto its side in a dramatic incident.
Fortunately, neither Woods nor the other driver was injured.
However, authorities noted concerning behaviour, describing him as sweating heavily and moving sluggishly.
Officers also observed bloodshot eyes and unsteady movement at the scene.
Woods later explained his physical condition, citing multiple past surgeries.
The 15-time major winner revealed he has undergone seven back surgeries and over 20 leg operations.
He continues to suffer mobility issues following a near-fatal crash in 2021.
Despite passing a breathalyser test, Woods refused further testing.
He has now been charged with a misdemeanour DUI and property damage.
The case has reignited debate over athlete responsibility and road safety.
Woods is expected to appear in court on April 23.
