The Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Rt. Honourable Jibril Ismail Falgore, has extended warm felicitations to Muslim Ummah and all Nigerians on the occasion of Eid -al- Fitr season.
In a statement released by the Speaker’s Spokesperson, Kamaluddeen Sani Shawai, on Friday, Falgore urged unity, tolerance, and mutual respect of one another as the world celebrates Eid al- Fitr 2026.
He further encouraged the Muslim faithful to live with one another with dignity and respect in love and tolerance, describing beautiful days in Ramadan as a season of sober reflections, compassion and helping the needy.
He stressed that tolerance and mutual respect remains key to peace and stability while accelerating nation-building and societal developments become imperative.
Highlighting progress at the State Assembly, Falgore noted that Honourable Members remain committed in providing quality legislation aimed at improving the living standards of the people of Kano.
He pointed out that as we’re approaching the general elections in the year 2027, more concerted effort is needed from all stakeholders for peaceful conduct of the upcoming elections across the country.
“I am convinced that the Kano State House of Assembly under my watch is doing everything possible to deliver quality legislation, irrespective of tribe or religion, for sustainable growth, job creation, and shared prosperity,” Falgore stated.
He reiterated the Assembly’s unwavering commitment to supporting the state government under the leadership of His Excellency, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, whose administration has been dedicated to providing a conducive atmosphere for all citizens, irrespective of religion and tribe.
On behalf of the entire Kano State House of Assembly, Falgore wished Muslim Ummah a joyful celebration and prayed for peace, progress, and prosperity for Kano State. “Happy Eid -al- Fitr to all Muslim Ummah”
