Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, has felicitated with Muslims in Kebbi State, across Nigeria and beyond on the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan and the joyous celebration of Eid-el-Fitr Sallah.
The Governor described Eid-el-Fitr as a moment of gratitude, spiritual renewal, and sober reflection. He urged the Muslim Ummah to uphold the noble lessons of Ramadan, including sacrifice, patience, compassion, discipline, tolerance, and total submission to the will of Almighty Allah.
He noted that the holy month of Ramadan offers a unique opportunity for believers to purify their hearts, strengthen their faith, and draw closer to Allah through fasting, prayers, charity, and acts of kindness.
He stressed that these virtues should not end with Ramadan but must continue to guide daily life.
Governor Idris also called on Muslims to emulate the exemplary character and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), whose life remains a shining model of humility, mercy, justice, peaceful coexistence, and unwavering commitment to the unity and progress of the Ummah.
According to him, the enduring message of Islam as demonstrated by the Holy Prophet (SAW) is one of peace, love, mutual respect, and service to humanity, values that are greatly needed today to promote harmony, tranquility, and collective advancement in society.
The Governor congratulated the Muslim Ummah for witnessing yet another Eid-el-Fitr celebration and prayed that Almighty Allah accepts all acts of worship performed during Ramadan, forgives shortcomings, and grants lasting solutions to the challenges confronting individuals, families, communities, and the nation at large.
He reassured the people of Kebbi State of his administration’s unwavering commitment to sustaining developmental strides already recorded across critical sectors, while deepening empowerment programmes and expanding opportunities for the vulnerable, less-privileged, and all segments of society to live better and thrive.
Governor Idris emphasized that his administration remains focused, resolute, and undistracted by pessimism or needless criticism. He maintained that genuine leadership is measured by visible impact, people-oriented policies, and the continued delivery of democratic dividends to the citizens.
He thanked the people of Kebbi State for their sustained prayers, support, and confidence in his leadership, and reaffirmed that his government will continue to be anchored on justice, inclusive development, shared prosperity, peace, unity, and the promotion of democratic ideals for a greater and more prosperous Kebbi State.
